The Amazing Miss Krystle: Dark Pop Musician and Entertainment Attorney
Miss Krystle lives a busy life surrounded by music and the people who make it. She’s a talented singer with lots of amazing releases and a successful attorney working in the field of entertainment law. Miss Krystle is also a hardworking podcaster and a passionate label boss who loves giving back to the industry. Whatever she’s doing — behind the desk or on the stage — music is the central thread that holds her life together.
Let’s learn more about the wonderful world of Miss Krystle — dark pop diva and self-proclaimed “redhead attorney.” From independent releases to insider legal knowledge, she holds a unique place in the world of modern music.
Who Is Miss Krystle?
Miss Krystle, also known as Krystle Delgado, has been in the music business since childhood. She’s covered vast territory over that time, and learned lots of life-changing lessons along the way. Krystle was homeschooled from a young age, and the entertainment industry was always a big part of her life. She started modeling as a child. She performed with her family’s band at age 10 and started writing her own songs at the young age of 13.
By age 15, Krystle started recording original music as part of her education program. She produced her first album as part of her thesis and released several singles and remixes under her new stage name, “Miss Krystle.” During this time, the budding musician also decided to embark on a legal career. In 2009, she earned a degree in Political Science from Barrett, The Honors College. In 2013, she received a law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
The entertainment industry was never far away, however, with Krystle paying for college by competing in beauty pageants. She became Miss Palo Verde and Miss Sonoran Desert, and learned how the industry worked from the inside out. This was an impressionable time for Krystle, who was trying to navigate two worlds and gain confidence as a young woman. Surrounded by hardworking beauty pageant contestants and intelligent law school peers, she forged her own path by embracing everything that came her way.
According to Krystle, “Coming from a homeschooled background, I had deeply ingrained fears of public speaking and being called on… Once you get into law school, that’s all it is. You’re being put on the spot, being challenged, having to think on your feet. It’s a terrifying experience. The experience of being in those larger classrooms helped me grow as an individual. Meeting some of the people there from different walks of life who are so intelligent and articulate, they just really inspired me to better myself.”
Legal Career
The music industry was an obvious career path for the young lawyer. She quickly became a practicing attorney, and from the outset, she specialized in entertainment law. At a very young age, Krystle became the owner of Delgado Entertainment Law, PLLC. This is an amazing achievement by any measure, and it surprises Krystle more than anyone else. “I went to law school with no intention of actually practicing,” she said, adding, “I just wanted to get the experience to be able to read contracts and know what the hell I was looking at.”
As you can see, Krystle is not your average entertainment lawyer. She’s a singer and songwriter first and foremost, and her legal practice is a direct reflection of her passion for music. She works with major labels every day, setting foundations for other talented artists by helping them navigate opaque legal documents. While she understands chord changes and styling decisions, she can also speak confidently with big-time lawyers from Sony, Universal, and Warner.
According to Krystle herself, “My passion is showing record label owners how to operate like major labels, while remaining independent. It’s not only about understanding the legal aspects of running a record label, it’s also about the day-to-day strategies and techniques that make a BIG difference over time.” In her relatively short legal career, Krystle has helped lots of young musicians close multimillion-dollar deals.
Dark Pop Musician
Krystle Delgado is an amazing lawyer who loves supporting young artists. Let’s be honest, however — she was never going to be content with an office-based life. Delgado’s dark, sparkly twin personality was always in control, and there’s nothing she loves more than making music. Described by her fans as the pop version of Evanescence, Miss Krystle is a singer, songwriter, and producer with a growing list of credits to her name.
Lots of artists have influenced her recordings and performances, including Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Disturbed, Lady Gaga, and Korn. Her recent music is a little more introspective, having been inspired by the likes of Maroon 5, Celldweller, and Lana Del Rey. Over recent years, Miss Krystle has also been involved with some exciting collaborations. She’s also emerged as an inspirational podcaster and speaker.
When asked to describe her music as an ice cream flavor, Miss Krystle mentioned Midnight Mocha Strawberry — stimulating and bittersweet with a mix of passionate red and bright vanilla. It’s undeniably pop music, but it has a dark, sexy quality that demands attention. According to Krystle, music is the central element that ties her entire life together: “The future of music is never-ending for me… As long as I’m alive and breathing, I will create.”
Music Releases
To understand the enticing music of Miss Krystle, you have to dive deep into the sounds. She has released lots of great music over the years despite her time-consuming legal career. Her debut album Run was released in 2011, followed by Woman in Motion in 2016 and Dangerous Daughters in 2020. She has also released several EPs, including Inevitable in 2018 and Something in the Way in 2023.
Let’s take a look at some of Miss Krystle’s latest singles, which are available on Spotify:
Monster
This track from 2023 highlights the dark and sparkly sound of Miss Krystle, powered by the production talents of That Orko. It starts with eerie chimes and xylophone tones, before the vocals enter with “Darkness falling, all is quiet.” Krystle’s voice is clear and soothing with a touch of impending doom, and the production is atmospheric without blurring the vocals. This is dark pop delivered with a touch of magic, and there’s nothing you can do but surrender.
Part of Your World
This is another fantastic track by Miss Krystle and That Orko, this time in a brighter and more optimistic vein. This was originally sung by Jodi Benson for The Little Mermaid soundtrack, and rerecorded by Halle Bailey for her recent portrayal of Ariel. “Part of Your World” by Miss Krystle delivers exotic fairy tale vibes, with cinematic production merged with darkness and despair. As Krystle sings, “Wouldn’t you think I’m a girl, A girl who has everything?” she brings her own unique story to this world-famous tune.
Say to Me remixes
“Say to Me” is the latest release by Miss Krystle, released on Dukes Up Records at the back end of 2024. This dark pop track was produced by That Orko, with Miss Krystle delivering her fantastic vocals against a bed of rock instrumentation. This track has a hypnotic quality, with mesmerizing sounds and soaring vocals drilling into your brain and refusing to let go. The original version of this song is accompanied by some fantastic remixes, which is a great marketing strategy executed with precision.
Miss Krystle has crafted a lengthy long-player from a single song, with remixes of the song covering lots of musical ground. You can hear a drum & bass version by bLiNd, a dubstep remix by WRATH, and a cinematic pop version by Ashby. There are also remixes by Dystopian 84, GHOSTGIRL3D, Longevity, Fabio Scioscia, Iszulu, LyE, noctucat, Vanguard the Blacklight, and Dan Gusto. While all versions of the song sound great, the WRATH remix is particularly effective. The liquid dubstep bass line provides the perfect counterpoint to Krystle’s vocals, and the steep risers and stuttered rhythms have a euphoric impact.
Dukes Up Records
Miss Krystle recently started her own record label to present her music and support other emerging artists. With almost 20 years in the industry, she was in a wonderful position to help like-minded singers, songwriters, and producers. The label offers a wide range of services, from music production and songwriting to videos, branding, project management, and legal support. The birth of the label also helped to inspire a book, which Miss Krystle called How To Keep Your Dukes Up in the Music Business.
That Orko
You can’t talk about Miss Krystle without mentioning her partner in crime. That Orko is a talented producer, songwriter, podcaster, and media creator. Krystle met the young producer when he was performing in his rock band, spitting on the audience in that lovable rock star way. She saw past the ego and expectoration, meeting him later that night and learning about his production talents. Miss Krystle and That Orko have worked on dozens of tracks together, including “Dangerous Daughters,” “Save Yourself,” and “Make Me Bad.” He even has songwriting credits on some of Krystle’s tracks, including “Part of Your World,” “Something in the Way,” and “Monster.”
